What started and continues as an imaginative tribute project, Gaquino, a visionary brand based in Puerto Rico, envelops multiple methods of digital creation which branch out from the creator's deep psyche into a world of its own. This construction of a dream world, brought alive by characters the founder likes to call "Vejis," evokes a sense of company which embodies the multifaceted characteristics of the honored departed, simultaneously keeping them alive. Gaquino is a limitless creative project, ever-evolving just like a human would be. In its own right, the brand is a person, a distorted existence that feels so tangible because it has become a reality within its fabrication; to reitarate, it is "a world of its own," as the owner confessed.
To replace what would be our November selection, Ciclo de Moda has collaborated with Gaquino to provide a showcasing space to another brand we lovingly admire within our Concept Store. By re-working to adorn pieces sourced by us with Gaq's unique Veji characters, we have integrated our different brand distinctions cohesively and playfully, coming up with a small collection consisting of three screen-printed pieces and one set, which started out as a tee and Ciclo re-assembled into a matching top and micro-skirt. Hopefully, the product of combining our varying imaginations extends to help you achieve what Gaquino does to its creator: a hinted suggestion of familiar company and inspiration. Enjoy (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.ﾟ
